1. I am trying to complete the Client Signup, but I do not see my country in the drop-down list. What's wrong?

For many reasons CCBill does not allow Merchants to sign up for a CCBill account if their businesses are based in certain countries. The reason for this block is typically because of Fraud, but could also be because of restrictions placed upon us by the US State Department and the Federal Government.

5. Can I process VISA® and MasterCard® transactions on my site?

Both VISA® and MasterCard® are offered as payment types with the CCBill service. However, VISA® and MasterCard® require an initial registration fee of $500 each and a yearly fee of $500 each after that to obtain Sponsored Merchant status. This fee applies to High-Risk Merchants. CCBill does not retain any of these fees and has no power to waive or cancel the fee.

6. I don't want to pay the VISA® and/or MasterCard® registration fee, what should I do?

You are not required to process VISA® and/or MasterCard® transactions. The Merchant Sign Up Process allows you to opt-out of VISA® and/or MasterCard® processing. Simply check the other payment types during the sign up process, leaving VISA® and/or MasterCard® blank.

8. I go by "Steve" but my given name is "Stephen", is it ok to use "Steve" on my application?

It depends. If your government-issued ID says "Steve", then go ahead. If not, use your given name. For security reasons we require that the name on the contract match the identification exactly. If this criteria is not met, we will likely reject your application.

9. What is a "Technical Contact"?

When we ask for a Technical Contact we are asking for the name and contact information of the person who will be doing the programming and development of your site and the integration with our systems. This person is sometimes the same as the Principal and sometimes not, depending on your business model. Essentially, if you employ someone to write your code and implement your design, the Technical Contact would be that person.
