Should you choose to offer Visa as a payment method to your consumers, you are required to be a Visa-sponsored Merchant.

Merchant Sign-Up Global Billing Services

Start accepting payments as soon as possible through CCBill's online sign-up. Whether your business is located in the United States, Canada, Europe, or elsewhere, signing up for CCBill payment processing is an application away.

Before you begin, there are a few things you will want to have available.

  1. Two forms of identification*
  2. The URL for your business
  3. Bank information if you are wanting payouts via wire transfers

*Accepted primary and secondary forms of ID vary depending on your business location. For a list of acceptable forms by location, visit our Knowledge Base.

During the application process, you will be asked to fax or e-mail copies of your two forms of identification. Preferred formats for submission include .jpg or .pdf.

United States and Canada

United States and Canada

If your website contains high risk material (VISA considers any website selling downloadable, digital merchandise and/or services or those falling within Merchant Category Code 5967) and you are registering from the United States or Canada, and you wish to Accept Visa, there is a $750 up-front fee and $500 annual fee. This fee is only required for Visa. You will be able to accept all other payment options if you choose not to pay this fee. Visa approval can take between 7 and 21 business days from the time your account is fully active and CCBill has received your Visa payment.

United States and Canada

Europe

If you have an EU-based business and want to process transactions through the Visa network, Visa requires:

  • Your business to be registered as a Visa sponsored Merchant
  • Your business must be located within the Visa-designated European Union Region

In order for CCBill EU to process your Visa transactions, we ask that you provide valid proof that your business is based in a country that is within the Visa-designated EU region. To see a current list of countries that fall within this region, click here.

If you have a business in the Visa EU Region, you must provide one piece of identification from each of the following categories:

Corporation Related, you must include (1) of the following:

  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Business License
  • Previous Year's Filed Corporate Tax Return

AND

Principal Related, you must include (1) of the following:

  • Valid Passport
  • National ID
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Most Recent Personal Tax Return

If you are located within the Visa EU Region without a formally recognized business, you must include (2) of the following forms of identification:

  • Principal's Valid Country of Origin ID
  • Principal's Valid Passport
  • Principal's Valid Driver's License
  • Most Recent Personal Tax Return
